March 2008 Update

Well, the NEW ATF website is up and running, finally! Our goal with this will be to provide everyone with a site for information on what’s going on in the shop, tying lessons, patterns and specials. We also have a page with helpful links to other sites for tying, trips, guides, and other resources. Check the site each month for shop specials and updates on fly tying. We hope you enjoy the site and TIGHT LINES to everyone!!

Tim gave a presentation at the Mesilla Valley Flyfishers meeting in February to show off some of the cool new products that hit the market this year. Scott rods came out with a new rod called the S4—this is a virtual CANNON of a rod and if you try it you WILL be impressed! Temple Fork also has a new rod that rivals the S4 called the Axxiom; also a very nice rod, with a fast action and great TFO pricing!
Come in and try them both!!

Another great product was introduced by SIMMS—Wader Wick tops and bottoms—this is a great product to wear under your waders—it allows the waders to function as they should and you don’t get the wet, clammy feeling you would normally feel with jeans or sweats on under the waders. If you like your breathable waders, you will LOVE them with Wader Wick underneath! Great price too; only $29 for tops or bottoms.
