Jude Duran Defense Fund--UPDATE

As a point of clairification, we are NOT and were never going to match Each and every donation she or Jude received; just the ones we received thru the shop. Apparantly someone close to Jude has donated a large sum of money to help him out and after the fact wanted us to match that donation. Due to this being an ongoing issue, the matching of funds received is no longer an option; as of May 31, 2008 we had not collected ANY money. once all the funds are received in our shop we will decide what to add to the total before it is sent to Jude and Donna.

We are not in contact with Donna and don't really have any updates; there are lots of stories flying around but we are not going to post anything unless confirmed and approved by Donna.

Jude is not a violent person; he does not drink, smoke, drug or even speed in a vehicle; he is respectful of the law and of people's feelings; he would never NORMALLY do anything to hurt or scace anyone. those of us that know him think something snapped mentally, due to a medical condition of some type. if he does not get out of jail and get a competent attorney, he will probably spend the rest of his active life in jail; we cannot let that happen! what he needs is medical attention to find out what happened to make a good person do something like this and treat the real problem. The only way to make this happen is to raise the bail, which we understand is $25,000 and then raise another $25,000 to hire an attorney. it will take even MORE money down the road but this would get things moving in the right direction. we are ATF Flyshop are setting up a defense fund and any and all money collected from friends of Jude will be deposited into this special account and then sent to his wife to use on his defense. checks would be made out to Jude Defense Fund/ATF.

Even if you have had differences of opinion in the past with Jude; even if you dont even like him, you MUST admit this is not something he would do unless he was mentally out of his mind at the time. it is just not in his nature to do something like this and we need to band together to make sure he gets the RIGHT type of help and not prison. please contact us on how to send funds; all persons donating will be listed on the fund updates, unless they are made anonymously.
