TWO FLYS ONLY!!!!!

The meeting was held last thursday and the votes are in; The new rule, which goes into effect later this month is TWO FLYS ONLY on the San Juan River. No MORE "creating a hatch" of your own!!

The passing of the two fly rule on the San Juan Quality water should not be a problem. Most of us who fish this wonderful river don't use more than 2 flys anyway, so I have never understood what all the fuss is about. Personally I don't think this will help or hurt the fish themselves and IF you know what you are doing on this river, it won't hurt the fishing either.
By the way, for the first time in my 18 years of fishing this river I was CHECKED ON THE RIVER by Game and Fish for number of flys, barbs and license. This is something that WILL help out to keep people that are still chunking treble hooks and bait off the quality water section. With this out of the way now, maybe everyone can concentrate on the real issues on our river.
